akku Kunstplattform is an exhibition space in Emmenbrücke, Switzerland. Together with Simon Rüegg and Raphael Schoen we were asked to design a visual identity for their printed matter in 2016.

It was part of the brief to show some artwork from the featured exhibitions on the posters. We anticipated that we would be dealing with a lot of group shows. Therefore we wanted to create an identity which showed more than just a reproduction of one artwork. We opted to transport an overall mood of the exhibition — almost like a flashback one has after visiting. We created collages and compositions with the artworks taken from the exhibitions.

By using the maximage color library — a tool to create consistent prints with predefined pantone colors — each poster is designed with two different pantone colours, which helps the consistency of the identity while making each exhibition unique. (While is also decreased the printing costs.)
