zweikommasieben is a Swiss magazine that has been devoted to the documentation of contemporary music since the summer of 2011. The magazine features artist interviews, essays and reviews as well as photography, illustration, and graphics. In addition, zweikommasieben curates and organizes a variety of events, concerts, and performances.
We have been part of the design team from the beginning and we design each issue from scratch.
For this issue we wanted to offer readers insight into the knowledge and thoughts by the magazine makers that are usually not revealed.
By doing so, we were hoping to make visible the process of making a magazine, while at the same time sharing its multi-layered voices.
While the magazines overall design is inspired by classical textbooks, the comments by the magazine makers are added as comic boobles. Assigning each maker to their own shape.
